Dine n' Dash

Last Friday I went on my 4th date with whom I know refer to as Mr. Dine n' Dash.

He had paid for our 3 previous dates so I had taken it upon myself to plan and pay for this one.  We went to a very delicious (expensive) restaurant and we were having a good time.  The wine was amazing, the food was delicious, the waiter (my friend B.) was outstanding... the night was going well.

After dinner I planned for us to go see a live band at The Stateroom. We got there and I had to use the restroom REALLY bad! We then ordered some drinks and went in and watched the band.  Very good band although I can't remember the name..

Anyway.. after the opening band finished set and the main band was setting up I (as most women do when they have a lot to drink) had to use the restroom again.
I was not in there very long (at least to my knowledge), however when I came out and went to look for Mr. D n D he was not anywhere to be found.  So I went out to the lobby thinking he may have had to use the restroom too and wait.. nothing.. so then I go back into the main room to find him.. still NOTHING.

I text him "where are you"
he says "you left"
at this point I am getting irritated.. how would I leave when he drove us there! What an idiot! I couldn't believe what was going on.
I call him and make him come back and get me to take me to my car. (it took him at least 10 min.. therefore he was obviously heading home) He gives me some BS about how he was going to surprise me by pulling the car in front and waiting for me like a "gentlemen" -um okay weirdo.. I wasn't under the impression either of us were leaving.. so why in the hell would I  know to come outside and be rescued by my "prince charming"?

I told him I did not want to hear any of his lame excuses- the fact was he LEFT me on our date.. stranded.. now please take me back to my car!

Needless to say this event led to a really great night out with my best friend- and it was a great way to forget all about it.

I got back to my phone after the bar- 5 missed calls, 6 texts, and 3 voice-mails from MR. Dine n' Dash.. seriously? Does he realize he was the one that made the choice to leave me.. why should I give him the time of day!

on 3/30/10 Mr. Dine n' Dash asked if he could call and explain.. I knew that I wasn't going to be impressed with whatever it was he had to say because I have never had someone do that to me on a date.. no matter how bad the date may have been.. never..

He gives me some explanation about how he "drank too much" and thought that he could sneak off to the gas station to get a nicotine fix while I was in the bathroom (again total BS if you ask me).  He never smoked on our previous dates.. so I am not sure where this sudden "craving" came from lol.. needless to say I told him that I do not tolerate that type of behavior from ANY man and that I would not be seeing him again. 

 His stupid mistake- his loss.
